Story of my life and how did I get here - Part 2

Updated: Jul 3, 2018

In 2014 I left everything behind and chased my dream to live a life that would be entirely my own. So I moved to the most fascinating city I know: London.

I owe so much to this place. In this city, I learned that life can be magical and beautiful. I made incredible connections that have been so important in my journey. When I moved here, I said to my life: I am opened to live an amazing experience!

Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. Certainly what has made my life in London truly special were the people I have connected to. Like-minded people. Friends that are there for you to lift you up and help bring out the best of you.

When you find yourself and own who you are, you will naturally attract the right people for you.

My life in London has taught me is that I can create the life I want to live. All we have to do is set the intention for that to happen, strive to work on ourselves and live in accordance to our dreams. This is no mean feat, but I am so proud of my journey and who I have become as a result.

Although I eventually returned to full time work in the corporate world, this time felt different. My full time job was funding my passion and enabled me to complete my 200h qualification with YogaLondon. Practicing on a daily basis really allowed me to make a positive and lasting change in my wellbeing.

Having a life I loved out of work assisted me in dealing with a job I did not like.

It provided me with tools to cope with stress and anxiety. I was using what I was learning in Yoga and in my personal life, to create a better version of myself at work.

Suddenly my life became so interesting to me. I loved every single bit of it and was proud of the person I was becoming.

When life suddenly turns upside down...

However, my new found happiness came crashing down when I became involved in yet another unfulfilling relationship. It left me completely crushed but not without a desire to heal and delve deep within my soul to find peace once more.

I did a lot of research on self-love, healing a broken heart, love and kindness and self-care. I practiced what I was learning. I read dozens of books, watched innumerable lectures and talks, practiced yoga non-stop to peel back the layers and reveal myself in my sincerest form.

I soon came to realize that I was lacking SELF-LOVE.

In order to heal I had to go deeper. I had to learn to love myself unconditionally, to the extent that there would be no room for any niggles of self doubt. So I learned a very important lesson:

You can’t love your life and others unless you love yourself first.

My healing came from engaging in my life wholeheartedly. I started teaching Yoga more and more, even though I was so scared of putting myself out there. I signed up for an online Coaching Course that gave me the first insight of what I really wanted to do.

I wanted to help people to live a happier and more purposeful life.

In 2017 I came across my ever inspiring Life Coach Ariadne Kapsali and started a beautiful 3 month coaching journey where I would explore deep within my soul who I was and what I wanted to be, letting go of all the barriers holding me back and taking charge of my life. It was magical! Hard I will tell you, but magical! That was when I developed a steady Meditation practice that helped me change my thinking patterns and cross the bridge from self-doubt to worthiness and belonging.

For the first time in my life I experienced pure bliss and deep connection to myself like I had never felt before.

At this point I knew it already. I knew what my purpose was. I knew what made me happy. All I had to do was to be brave enough to embrace it and live it to the fullest. That was when my Yoga teacher Paula Andreewitch recommended me the book that would literally change my life, The Great Work of Your Life by Stephen Cope. This book beautifully describes how each and every one of us has a unique vocation that is deeply personal and only ours to own. I will share ore about this book on my next blog post. One quote in particular, opened my eyes. It says:

" If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you don't bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you". Stephen Cope

At the end of 2017 I joined Beautiful You Coaching Academy and in 2018 I received a diploma in life coaching. I saw in life coaching the perfect opportunity of using my own life experience to help others to become as happy as or even happier than what I have become.

Now, I am so happy to say I am a heart centered Happiness and Purpose Life Coach, yoga teacher and meditation guide focused on guiding women like you who work in the corporate world through a beautiful journey towards creating a more balanced, joyful and inspired life that is yours to own.
