Love Inside Out - A guide for living a wholehearted life based on love and kindness.

Updated: Jul 17, 2018

I am so excited to start this project. Love has always been one of my most favorite topics to talk about. It's my ultimate source of connection and inspiration and it is undoubtedly what guides my soul. This is the Love Inside Out Project - A guide for living a wholehearted life based on love and kindness. I will do my best to share with you simple actions you can do to cultivate more love energy and change your life from the inside out. So let's get to it.

Action #1 - CHOOSE LOVE

Making a commitment to living a life based on love can completely shift the way life is experienced. Love is a vibrational frequency that connects us to our highest and most unique self. It unlocks our heart, melts our limitations and expands our potential. When we feel love, we feel invincible, like we can take over the world and absolutely nothing can stop us.

Love reminds us of how sweet and gentle life can be. It invites us to open our hearts, and an opened heart is a courageous heart.

When we allow love to flow through us we believe everything is possible. We experience unalloyed joy and unlimited gratitude. Love is the ultimate feeling that brings people together by building bridges between their hearts.

Love is a vibrational frequency that connects us to the source. It’s where all comes from and where all leads to. Love is the space between. When we flow in the vibration of love, our energy resonates at the highest frequency and it becomes so easy and natural to express compassion, joy and gratitude. It becomes easy to consider other people as just another version of ourselves. We understand each other from a sense of humanity and we understand we are all the same, going through the same things and facing the same issues. When we let our hearts connect to other people’s heart, we become one and there are no walls that can divide us.

When we choose love, we have that solid certitude that no matter what is going on in our lives today, everything will fall into place. It’s a deep sense of trust and surrender that encourage us to take the next step, even though we have no clue of what lies ahead. We feel that because we are standing on the grounds of courage and hope that love provides.

We don’t necessarily need to be in a romantic relationship to experience such feeling. We don’t need to have had successful role models in life to be able to understand what love is. Maybe you have never felt loved and the idea of it seems like a distant reality to you. Maybe you have never had a successful loving relationship. Maybe you haven’t had a loving family to rely on. Maybe you feel you are unworthy of love and that wit will never happen to you. I see you. I feel you.

Believe me, it doesn’t matter where you come from. Love is within you and all around you. It’s up to you to take the first step to be opened and curious enough to see it, recognize it and most importantly, to feel it.

We don’t need to have it all figured out to be able to love and be loved. We learn how to love ourselves and love our lives in the midst of our chaotic lives. Of course, things such as a loving family, nurturing friendships and supportive relationships will certainly help us get there, perhaps a bit quicker, but they are not mandatory because love is not outside of ourselves. We can travel the world looking for love and we won’t find it unless we search within. We can recognize love in other people, places or experiences and these can work as gateways that call us back to that deep space within where love originates from.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. Rumi.

We learn how to love others and what love is by learning how to love ourselves. We learn what love is through that heart break that invites us to dive deep within, in search for healing. We understand the depths of love by picking up our fragmented pieces from the ground and mending them back together. We learn how to love as we heal ourselves back to our wholeness. We love when everything seems to be working perfectly fine, but we most certainly have to love when life gets in the way.

Love is above all a choice we make. Every single day when we wake up in the morning, we get to deliberately choose how we are going to live our lives. CHOOSE LOVE. I know that some days are harder than others and just thinking about the idea can cause some discomfort. However, today I encourage you to attempt to cultivate love energy even if things are not flowing the way you want them to. I mean, choose love especially when things are not flowing the way you want . I promise it will change your day. Just by consciously repeating the word love in your mind, the feeling will eventually rise. The vibrational frequency of love will resonate within your physical body changing your energy from a cellular level.

So here is Action 1 to living a wholehearted life based on love and kindness:

It is so simple and I promise it will change your day. I will share a lovely two-part exercise to be done at any given day you feel you need a boost of inner love. Here is what you will need:

  • a journal or a blank piece of paper.

  • a pen

  • a quiet place where you can meditate with tranquillity.

Are you ready?

First part – Get quiet, tune in and connect to your inner source of love.

Set the alarm clock 20 minutes earlier than usual and wake up earlier. Do whatever morning routine you usually do and when you feel ready find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted by anyone and anything (switch off your phone) and find a comfortable seated position.

Take the first moments to meet yourself in the early hours of your day. Bring your eyes to close inviting your awareness to turn inwards. Feel your breath flowing through allowing it to become longer and deeper. Take as much time as you need at this stage and when you feel ready, visualize you are dropping into the center of your heart.

See yourself there and connect to that space. In your mind repeat to yourself:

I am in my heart. I am safe.
I am in my heart. I am safe.
I am in my heart. I am safe.

Allow your heart and soul to reveal to you a sense of grounding and trust that will enable you to go deeper. When you feel ready, repeat to yourself as many times as needed:

I am love. I feel love.
I am love. I feel love.
I am love. I feel love.

Notice what you feel and where you feel it. Feel your inner source of love communicating with you showing you the way. Spend some time here. Slowly come back to your breath and to your physical body and when you feel ready open your eyes.

Second part – Make the commitment.

Pick up your journal and a pen. On a blank page write in big bold letters:

Today I choose to live my day based on love.

Today I choose to be love and to give love.

Today I choose to put love as a priority number one.

Today I choose to ask what would love do in this situation.

Today I choose love because it makes me feel ________________________________

I am love and love is abundant to me.

I am love. I feel love.

Feel free to add any other affirmations you find interesting and inspiring. And then go out there and live your day with an opened heart connected to your inner source of love. Be that love you wish to call into your life. Cultivate it and then give it away for free to everyone you meet throughout your day. Pour that love in everything you do. Infuse your thoughts, words and actions with that love. Engage with life from a place of love and kindness and notice how life will respond to you.

Remember, love is a choice we make. The most beautiful choice. After all, love is and always will be the best thing we do.

Love & Gratitude,
